Tinside Lido

Tinside Lido in Plymouth is a great place to visit and take the children during the summer months.

The swimming pool is situated on Hoe Road in Plymouth and was officially opened in October 1935. However it was then closed in 1992, but local campaigners managed to evoke an interest in this unique building which led to its renovation at the cost of £3.4 million. It is located beside Plymouth Sound and is overlooked by Plymouth Hoe and also Smeaton’s Tower.

The lido in Plymouth was finally reopened in 2009 and is open to the public from May to September.
