DOMINANT Barnstaple ran in ten tries to reach the semi-finals of the Devon Under-15 Cup.

Matt Morrish and Will Harrison scored hat-tricks in a 60-0 win over Topsham at Pottington Road.

Despite only playing three times since October, Barnstaple showed no signs of rustiness as they stamped their authority on the game.

Morrish opened the scoring after five minutes, beating the defence on the left and slipping through the narrowest of gaps to score under the posts.

Tom Clark then made breaks from centre to create tries for Billy Ashford and Morrish, who completed his treble with another dart on the left.

An up-and-under by Will Knill resulted in a try for Harrison before half time and, with Matt Symons converting three, Barnstaple led 31-0.

Two more tries quickly followed in the second half with Harrison finishing well on the right wing and Matt Giblett barging over from a lineout.

Barnstaple's flow was disrupted as they sent on replacements but, once they regained their composure, Harrison was put away for his third try, Zac Venner Houlford looped around to touch down and Giblett finished off the scoring with his second.

Symons added two more conversions in the second half.

Barnstaple have been joined in the last four by Kingsbridge, Tiverton and Cullompton.

James Bellew scored a hat-trick of tries in a 54-0 win for Barnstaple under-14s away to Okehampton.

He was joined on the scoresheet by Danny Southworth (two), Connor O'Toole, Josh Samet and Tom Squire.

Squire and Liam Rendall kicked the conversions.

Dan Cattermole and Bertie Stretch scored tries for Barnstaple under-13s in a 17-12 defeat at Devonport. Kyran McManus added a conversion.

South Molton under-11s scored two second-half tries to beat Barnstaple 15-5. Barum went ahead through Jamie McLagan's try but, despite the efforts of men of the match Max Beard and Alex Rowe, could not keep Molton out.

Barnstaple under-10s were joined by Redruth in a three-way fixture at Minehead.

Three players borrowed from Redruth scored for Barum in a four-tries-to-one win over Minehead, with Ellis Rees getting the other. Ellis also scored in a 3-1 defeat to Redruth.
