Three-try Torrington fight back to beat North Tawton
TORRINGTON scored three tries to come from behind and beat North Tawton 20-18.
Gavin Mitchell, Conor Kendrew and George Ward touched down after Tawton, of Tribute Devon Two, one division below Torrington, had taken an 18-3 lead in the friendly.
Nick Evans, the Torrington fly half, kicked them 3-0 ahead with a penalty and converted Mitchell's try after the hooker had charged through from a tapped penalty. Kendrew, the No 8, came off the back of a scrum to score the second, then Ward found space on the left wing for the match-winning try.
Jamie Stevens kicked two penalties for North Tawton and converted a try by Will Lethbridge. Bill Sharp sprinted over for their second try.
