Six-week jail term possible
A 23-year-old from Barnstaple faces a possible six weeks in prison after assaulting the head doorman at a Barnstaple nightclub.
Adam Alexander Collyer, of 9C Salem Street, faces the sentence after the attack at Venue, on the Strand, put him in breach of a suspended sentence he was given at Exeter Crown Court in June for affray.
Collyer appeared at North Devon Magistrates' Court and admitted assaulting Gerald Eva on December 21.
Given the suspended sentence hanging over him, magistrate Roger Jackson committed the case to Exeter Crown Court for sentencing.
